We Are What We Eat
source of photo
I hope you are all doing good.
I am in this early phase of life after college, which I heard is one of the most difficult stage especially because of the economy and just the way life works; starting something for the first time is always difficult. I digress because that's for a completely different blog post.
During this time I have a lot of alone time which I love because I get to think, research and brainstorm. I get to be more spiritual and think about how to better my life.
Work and school can get us caught up that we don't have time to pause, breathe, be present and think of life.
I am at the stage in my life where I am discovering exactly who I am and what I want in life.
I am a working progress, we all are.
I feel the purpose of life is to be HAPPY.
I want to feel great, energetic, and whole.
To achieve this, I am really considering becoming a whole food vegetarian (possibly with no dairy and processed food in my diet).
Which means no cookies, candy, milk chocolate (only pure organic dark chocolate), processed salts and sugars.
After my research on what exactly is on the shelves in the stores. I am sold on the idea of becoming a vegetarian.
It's going to be a challenge that I will take it day by day. I am African and grew up eating meat.
Family, friends, the media, and work place can make it difficult. However, I willing to work and face the temptations and focus on the big picture.
Think of all the diseases that can be prevented or reduced; heart diseases, obesity, diabetes, cancer and so on.
Due to our diet 'eating lifestyle', they gradually creep on the human population and surface when we get older and our system is frail.
Health is wealth.
Think about this.
Energy has to be put in for energy to come out.
If we eat processed, synthesized food and chemicals, what do we get out?
(Hold that thought)
How about when we eat the foods that are fresh, and in their most natural and whole form, what do we get out?
To feel good GREAT and radiate it, we have to put great food into our bodies. What we eat, drink, and think matters.
My philosophy: Positive perception and good things are what we need for a happier life.

Inspiration: Ann Yee's collection at New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2014
Oh my gosh! love this makeup and collection.
The grey and black piece are classic, modern and minimalist with a vintage twist.
I love how loose and relaxed the pieces are. She definitely have some great fall pieces.

Since blogging is just a hobby. I blog when I have or feel like I have the 'time'.

Happy 2014!
WOW! 2013 went by quickly. I hope 2014 slows down, so I can take it all in.
2013 was a year of growth for me in different areas of my life (education, career direction, relationships, networks, fashion and self).
Although the first one-third of the year was not as exciting as the later two-third of the year, it was a great year.
Grateful to be here (to be ALIVE).
I graduated from college (woohoo!) in December. I cut my hairrr... myself! (more info on to come)
I learnt a lot about the career field in science and medicine through my internship experience in NYC during the summer.
I discovered more about my style (...neo-fashionology) which happens almost all the time because I get inspired by what is around me.
2014 will be the BEST.
It is a new year and a new chapter with empty pages that will get filled with beautiful moments, memories, progress, success and blessings in life.
Thank you for sticking with me.
I wish you all a very happy 2014.

The rocker chic autumn look
Now that it is getting chilly,
layering becomes a necessity. This look involves only two layers, the sweater
and the parka jacket. To give the look an edgy and hard flare the sweater and
jacket is paired with a leather leggings and black combat boots. Also, the
jacket chosen has leather insert sleeves to merge the look together. The polka
dot sweater was chosen to add a feminine feel to the outfit. To complete the
look dark red lipstick and nail polish is added.
Mango polka dot shirt, $49
Dorothy Perkins black trousers
Lace up booties
Topshop long wearing lipstick, $13
